About Us

We believe that everyone has a purpose. Ours is to support families who need help in Indonesia.

Our non-profit team starts in remote villages in Sumba. There, you’ll meet men and women who struggle to survive. In many areas, families do not have access to electricity, schools, and clean water.

The families we collaborate with are talented and they weave their stories into their artwork. Both moms and dads create intricate fabrics, called “tali ikat.” It stands for “tied rope.”

Through this project, Crafting Hope is able to create sustainable jobs to provide food, supplies, and basic necessities for families in Sumba.

We go beyond borders to make sure that their children are taken care of by providing school supplies, food, clothing, shoes, and at times - guiding their children through a dangerous route for school.

Our team’s work only begins in Sumba.

After the tali ikat is finished, it’s then taken to Indonesia’s capitol, Jakarta. There you will meet an incredible team at Precious One.

We’ve partnered with Precious One because their vision is like ours and their work supports people who have disabilities.

With each item made, you are supporting families across Indonesia.
